![]() I have tried to import my contacts, I cannot. I have tried to play the training videos. There are supposed to be 33 built in forms. I am very dependent on this program (even more so than I was on Bento), and I don’t even use half of its great features. In the previous main version, synching was okay, but needed a kick occasionally with the current version, it took me a little while to have a warm fuzzy it was working, it was so fast and reliable and unobtrusive. All of this gets backed up and synched across our iOS devices, so no matter where we go, we have these records. Oh, and an encrypted record of all our usernames and passwords. My daily steps/activity/weight readings (going back to Sept 2008 - I brought over data from Bento when they disestablished) my medical results/readings/appointment notes lists of various documents such as insurance, with details in case the house burns or whatever wines we like and dislike (with photos of the labels, because we remember labels better than names) soup mixes we like and dislike, with notes on variations we’ve tried my wife’s crochet projects, with details I don’t understand and pretty photos and a database of online writers I’ve tipped via PayPal. A big thank-you to the developer, Tap Zapp Software, for a great database program! It’s fun and easy to use (but powerful), and JUST WORKS. It’s actually now one of my favorite programs. Second is that it syncs my data quickly and flawlessly among all my devices through iCloud – no glitches. So, it’s surprisingly flexible for people like me who may not have planned their database structure perfectly from the start. The two things I especially like about Tap Forms are first, I’ve found it very easy to make changes in how I catalog my information in the database over time. It easily and accurately imported my FileMaker data files. It runs perfectly on Windows OS 11.1 Big Sur. It has a short learning curve, excellent online user manual, and outstanding developer support. So I’ve been using Tap Forms now for about two months and the more I use it the better I like it. I enjoy using database programs, but for my needs FileMaker was just too much work and expense. I don’t know why it took me so long to discover this database program! I’ve been using a Windows since the late 1980’s and have successively used HyperCard, Panorama, Bento, and most recently FileMaker for my personal database needs.
